THE MONIER PIPES CONTRACT.

A SETTLEMENT EFFECTED. The Hastings Borough Council have arranged a settlement with Mr. R. McGaffin in regard to his contract for the supply of Monier pipes. Mr. Hallett s first sewage scheme provided for a new length of main sewer of large Monier pipes. On Dr. Frengley's and Mr. Climie’s suggestions, this was done away with, thus saving the Borough about £3OOO.
