HOCKEY.
On the Napier Borough Park, Saturday afternoon, several practice hockey matches were, played. One between Union and Civil Service. after a keenly-contested game resulted in a win for Union by three points to nil. Bartlett and Ashworthy for Unron showed the best form ; and for Civil Service Barber, Smyrk and Gallen. Napier and Mercantile played a practice match.
