Both sides have spent large sums in advertising. ! The city is posted with cartoonsshowing the probable and possible! good and evil results. ' The country has been stumped! energetically, with lhe usual amount of party wrangling. Mr. Peter Bowling addressed the Newcastle miners against the proposals, and was jeer'd at by: his late ardent supporters. i
