WEDDINGS.
ROBINSON-FRIBERG. . A very stylish and unique wed-j ding was celebrated at Sr. Luke si Church. Havelock, yesterday aft> rnoon. the contracting parties be-| ing Mr. D. Robertson, of Kaikora. and Miss Fredrica Fribcrg. The Rev. Erlward Robertshawe. of Dannevirke. was the officiating clergyman, and was assisted by the Rev. Alan Gardiner. Vicar of Havelock. The bride, who was given away by her brother. Rev. N. I riberg. of Kaikora. was attended by Miss Robertson, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Grant, of Palmerston North, and the M isses. Bird, two little neices of the bride. The bride was attired in ivory satin with lace overdress, and the orthodox veil and bouquet. The two elder bridesmaids wore white satin Uharmeuse and heliotrope hats, and carried bouquets. The two little girls (Misses Bird) were dressed in white satin with blue ribbons. They wore blue Dutch bonnets and carried sheaves of heliotrope and white cosmos made up by Mrs. J. C. M estall, sister of the bride.
The bridegroom s present to the bride was a gold pendant set with pearls, and to the bridesmaids gold and pearl safety-pin brooches. The bridegroom was attended by Dr. A. McMaster, of Auckland, aa best man.
An interesting feature of this wedding was that it was in the style of the old German fashion, the bride being married standing on a carpet square made by her great-great-great -gra ndmot h e r. All female members of the family have been married standing on this carpet for the last six or seven generations.
QUILL—SMALL. Another wedding was quietly celebrated yesterday at St. Luke s, Havelock, the parlies concerned being Michael Cyril Quill, youngest son of Mr. Pat Quill, of Rangiora. and Miss Lucy Agnes, youngest daughter of Mr. XX'. J. Smale, of Puketapu. The Rev. A. Gardiner officiated at the ceremony. anti Fraulein Fleischman was organist. The bride was dressed in cream crystalline silk, with the usual veil and orange blossom, and was given away by her brother-in-law. Mr. R. Mulcaster. of Havelock. Mr. XV. W. Adams, of Hastings, was best man.
Mrs. R. Mulcaster entertained the guests at her residence after the ceremony, and the happy couple left by the 3.50 train for the bouth amid Oowrrs <>f rice and confetti. The I ride's travelling dress was a creme seige <<>.stume with hat to match.
