The Ways and Means Committee of the Lower House reports on the Farmers’ Free List Bill, recommending far reaching reductions in the tariffs on commodities farmers require. The Canadian agreement is hailed as beneficial to the agricultural interests.
, The House debated the Reciprocity Bill and further adjourned. The members agreed in declaring that reciprocity was the most momentous issue before the country since the Spanish-American war.
