FIRES.
TIMBER FACTORY ALIGHT. Waitara, April 18. A fire broke out this morning in the upstairs portion of M. Jones’s sash and door factory, having a big hold before discovery. The brigade was quickly on the scene after the alarm and with a pressure of 1251 b. mastered the flames in twenty minutes. No one was working in the room at the time and the reason for the outbreak is unknown. The ma>chinery is practically undamaged, but £25 worth of tools was destroyed as well as sash frames, butter boxes, etc. The total loss will reach nearly £lOO, Mr. Jones being quite uninsured. j
