CHRISTCHURCH RACES. SECOND DAY. Soekburn, April 18. The weather is fine and the course in good order. The attendance is large for the C.J.C. meeting. Sec-1 ond day results :— | Peerswick Hurdles. —Dorando 1. ; Gold Pen 2. Gold Bird 3. Scratched : ; Full of Trumps. Won by a length { in 3mm 21 3-ssec. I Autumn Nursery.—Culprit 1. I Aphea 2, Avarice 3. . All started. Won by four lengths, half a length | between second and third. Time. Imin 2sec. j Yaldhurst Welter.—Countermine j 1, Mumura 2, My Lawyer 3. Scratched : Zuyder. Won by half a length, a head between second and third. Time. Imin 28 4-s&ec. I Addington Plate. —All Guns 1. j Khamisen 2, Kalulu 3. Also started : Frivolliti, Montreal, Pleasure Bent and Muircock. Won by a | length. Time, Imin 2 4-ssec. I Great Autumn. —Cheddar 1, Prim 2, Los Angelos 3. Scratched : Flambeau. Chief Lochiel was first to show out, and carried the field along to the straight, where Cheddar ran up, Prim following. In a great finish Cheddar won by a head from Prim. Los Angelos, who put in a good late run, was held a length away, and Chief Lochiel, Iranui, and Merrivona next. Time, 2m in 34 3-ssec. Challenge Stakes—Counterfeit 1, Madam Madcap 2, Tannhauser 3. Also started: Bandiera. a brilliant finish, Madcap just failed to get up, Tannhauser twelve lengths away. Time, Imin 27sec. I AUCKLAND RACING CLUB. SECOND DAY. Auckland. April IS. The Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting concluded to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance. Results:— Maiden Hurdles.—Don Quex 1, Celtic 2, Miss Explosion 3. All started. Don Quex went to the front at seven furlongs from home and was not afterwards troubled, winning easily by three lengths. Time, 2min 22sec. Great Northern Oaks. —Antoinette 1, Monoplane 2, Directoire 3. Scratched: Countermine, WeeOlga, Wenonah, Hamadryad. Monoplane led to the home turn, then Antoinette got on terms and gradually wearing Monoplane down won by a length, Directoire a length and a half away third. Time, 2min 38 2-ssec. Onslow Stakes.—Worcester I, Harrigan 2, Seawai 3. AU started: Worcester was in front all the way and won by a big length, three lengths between second and third. Bme, Imin 2sec. In the Maiden Hurdles Excahbur fell and his rider (A. Gray) received injuries to his head and was taken to the hospital unconscious. Autumn Handicap.—Maxwell I, Soultoria 2, Santa Rosa 3. AU started. Won by a length, Santa Rosa a length and a-half away. Time, 2min 3Bsec. St. Heliers Hurdles. —Hoanga 1, Bully 2, Paratutu 3. Scratched: Seldom. Time, 3min 56 3-Ssec. FEILDING RACES. Feilding, April 18. The weather is dull and threatening for the second day of the Feilding races, but there is a large *erowd. Results:— Denbeigh Stakes. —St. Toney 1, Clemora 2, Mon Ami 3. Scratched : Irish Rifle and Vibration. Won bv half a length Imin 48sec. Awahuri Hack Hurdles.—Cork 1, Contour 2, Stevens 3. All started. Won by four lengths. Time, Imin &Bsec.
Kimbolton Hurdles.—Marton I, Winchester 2, Hydrant 3. Scratched: Sardonyx. Won by a length. Time, 3inin 18 4-ssec. Orona Hack Hurdles. —Putetotara 1. Burton 2, All Trumps 3. Scratched : Waiputere. Won by a good length. Time, 2min 54 4-ssec. Easter Handicap. Mulga Bill 1. Goodwin Park 2, Kauroa 3. All started. Won easily by three lengths. Time. 2min JOsec.
