AN INTERCHANGE OF COMPLIMENTS.

t PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Reefton. April 15. Mr. T. E. Taylor addressed a meeting here last night. The proceedings were very lively, Mr. Taylor and the Rev. *Vm. Thompson, organiser of the Licensed Victuallers, having wordy warfare. Mr. Thompson at different times called Mr. Taylor a coward, a liar and a cad, Mr. Taylor retaliating with similar compliments. It was the most exciting meeting held in Beefton for years. Mr. Thompson made charges against Mr. Taylor which the latter invited him to put into writing, saying if he did he would proceed against him for slander.
