Interviewed at Chihuahua, Madero, the insurgents’ leader, declared he would not lay down arms unless President Diaz resigned. He would not accept any peace proposals unless they were officially addressed to himself or to tne confidential agent of United States rebels. He is confident of ultimate success, declaring that followers are flocking to his standard.

A PEACE MISSION. Mexico, April 5.

Francisco Madero, lather of the revolutionary leader, with Gustavo Madero, has departed from El Paso on a peace mission on behalf of the insurgents.
