Christchurch, April 6.

A two storey house containing nine rooms at Fendalton, owned and occupied by Mr. J. R. McCulloch, was completely destroyed by fire last night. The family were absent in town at the time and the fire had a good hold when discovered. A trqop of boy scouts assisted the neighbours in saving some of the furniture, but the loss is extensive.
