THE SLIME ROBBER.
CONSTABLE’S EXCITING EXPERIENCE.
(Received 6, 8.5 a.m.) Perth, April 6. One of the bullets fired by Menzies, the gold robber, cut a button off the pursuing constable’s coat, other bullets cut the cloth on his shoulder. The constable, being unarmed, returned-to the police station, and when ne came back with a companion he discovered that the robber had returned and secured the abandoned bicycle and bag containing the slimes. Failing to obey the constable’s order to stand, they fired three shots at the fugitive, who again abandoned the bicycle and slimes and escaped.
