Maoris in charge of the commissariat at Papawai are determined that there shall be no shortage when the unveiling of the memorial to Tamaha Mahupuku takes place. There are for the larder fifteen bullocks, 400 sheep, 30 tons of potatoes, ten tons of pumpkins, fifteen tons of flour, cases of biscuits by hundreds, and other trifles. The feasting will be of an entirely teetotal character.
