MOTOR CYCLE FATALITY.

Christchurch, Mar. 24.

Wesley McKinney, son of Mr. Me Kiniey, of Brighton, met with a fatal accident at the Bank of New Zealand corner to-day. He was riding over a crossing on a motor cycle, at 8.45 a.m., and tried to pass a furniture waggon belonging to the New Zealand Express Company. When he was level with the waggon, one -.>f the wheels skidc.ed on the tramway line, the other wheel struck the leg o± one of the horses, and McKinney was thrown off the machine. His head came violently into contact with iue rails, and he sustained fracture of the skull. He was taken to the hos pital, where he died shortly after 3 p.m.

Portions of a human body believed to be those of Joseph Williams, who was drowned at Ocean Beach a fortnight ago, were washed up on the beach last night.

J. Beyer, a yardman employed at Holt’s mill, met with a rather painful accident a day or two ago. He was shifting a heavy piece of timber which slipped, crushing several of his toes.
