MAN AND WIFE FOUND SHOT. (Received 25, 8.0 a.m.) London, Mar. 24. Mr. and Mrs. Beructt were discovered dead in a lonely villa near * Bethersden, in Kent The husband had apparently shot his wife and then committed suicide. They had lived in mysterious seclusion. It ; s stated that Berndt was a stock broker and had been in Australia He was interested in Australian racing. A LETTER CLEARS THE MYSTERY. (Received 25, 10.55 a.m.) I Mr. Berndt left a letter stating ; that his wife was suffering from i hallucinations that everybody was , her enemy. He was unable to see her suffer, and decided to kill her and then to commit suicide. A verdict vas returned to that effect.
