IMPORTANT LAND SALE.

To-day Messrs. C. B. Hoadley and Son, Ltd., in conjunction with Mr. W. J. Tabuteau, submitted to auction several freehold properties in the estate of the late J. Matthews. The land was offered in two lots and sold as follows:— Te Ohn estate, near Dannevirke. and containing 11,577 acres, to Mr. F. Logan on behalf of clients, for £40.000. Waikarara, situated J 5 miles from Waipawa, containeng 3224 acres, also Hampden farm, containing 1042 acres, to Mr. F. Logan, on behalf of clients, for £32,000. The total sales represent £72.000. in addition to which stock and plant have in each case to be taken at valuation.
