The Acting-Premier (Hon. James Carrol >. arrived in New Plymouth about noon from Parihaka. He receives several deputations on local matters, and visits the petroleum works this afternoon. He leaves for Wellington to-morrow morning. The name of Dr. Pomare is mentioned as a likely candidate for the Western Maori electorate at next election. Mr. C. Pickering-Clarke has resigned his position as organist of All Saints Church, Taradale.
