Correspondence from Rev. P. Ramsay unavoidably held over until to-morrow. The quarterly meeting of the Hastings Fire Board will be held tomorrow afternoon. Nearly fifty persons in the Dominion paid over £5OO each in land tax last year. Rev. Bates’ report for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day is as follows :— Light and variable westerly winds : weather changeable; glass little movement.
The King’s birthday will be celebrated at home stations on May •27th. and at other stations on June 3rd.
