AFFRAY WITH ROBBERS. St. Petersburg, March 8.
Four robbers attacked and plundered a party of drovers in Poland, killing one.' The police gave chase and one policeman was severely wounded. All the robbers were shot dead while attempting to swim the Vistula.
NORTHERN TERRITORY DISPUTE.
Melbourne, March 9.
In the thirteen days’ hearing of the Territory case. South Australia versus Victoria, the Chief Justice strongly commented on counsel’s action in overloading the case with irrevelant matter, declaring it was a scandal in the administration of justice.
