BOXING.

The committee of the Hawke’s Bay Boxing Centre met in the Pacific Hotel, Hastings, last evening, to consider a letter from the New Zealand Boxing Council relative to the disqualification of three months imposed on Bill Rudd as the result of the Rudd-Blackmore contest, which was won by Blackmore on a foul. -

Mr. L. De Pelichet occupied the chair.

The facts of the case were again fully investigated, and it was decided to write to the council, giving full particulars of the fight, and also denying certain statements made by Rudd in a letter written by him, and which appeared in a Wellington weekly paper, reflecting on his treatment by the Hawke’s Bay Centre.
