SHIP’S BAKER DISAPPEARS.
A RIMUTAKA MYSTERY.

During the passage of the Rimn-: take from the Bluff to Wellington J last week the ship’s baker, named' S. Dunstan, disappeared. The j matter was reported to the authori-1 ties last Thursday when the vessel; arrived her, and inquiry has been: held by the Assistant Superintendent of Marine. t
According to members of lhe' crew, Dunstan was last seen on the, night before the ship’s arrival in Wellington. He had previously in-, dicated his disinclination to ie-‘ main with the vessel, and there seems to be considerable doubt as to whether he went over the ship's side while at sea. At • matter remains a mystery.
