ACCIDENT TO NAPIER EXPRESS.

STONE CRASHES INTO CAR. AND KILLS A PASSENGER. [PER press ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Feb. 20. A fatal accident occurred near Paekakariki to-day. As the north bound Napier express was running down an incline just south of Paekakariki railway station a big stone which had evidently been dislodged from the top of the hill came crashing down the steep face and struck one car with tremendous force, killing Alice Power, a tailoress, of Greymouth. The other occupants of the car were uninjured. : The damaged car was taken off at Paekakariki, and the train resumed the journey.
