AN AGENT’S SUICIDE.

Auckland, Feb. 10. Charles G. Knox, commission agent, was found lying on the floor of his office in. Hobson’s buildings, his head on a cushion and a revolver alongside of him. A bullet had passed from the right eye through the top of his head. He was/ still alive when removed to the hospital. Some idea of the resourcefulness of settlers may be obtained from the fact that yesterday Thomas Rothwell, of Te Kowhai, near Hamilton, was thrown under a dis? harrow through the three horses he was driving becoming restive. A disc passed over his left arm, and the injured man stitched and dressed the wound himself, no medical aid being at hand.
