A series of carnivals is being arranged in connection with the Festival of Empire. The City of Lon-: don has voted £2OO for a syniboli-! cal car and other cities are con-1 tributing cars. It is proposed that there shall be a car for each of the J overseas dominions.
An impressive demonstration took place at Herr Singe ’s funeral at Berlin. A procession of 50.000,■ marching five and six abreast. ’ started from the office of the news-; paper “Vorwaerts” at noon. The final contingent reached the Friedrichfeld cemetery at rightfall. A < large number of marshals kept per-1 feet order throughout. j
