The Italian Government is going to mow in the direction of preventing airships of any kind taking a directly offensive part in civilised warfare. The Italians will ask the Powers to prohibit tiring from overhead, and to Hv>it the usefulness of aeroplanes, di-i-igsbte-. and balloons to scouting and Mcirdlmg work. It is probable that th.- g’'l-eral question will be taken bc».»rr th’- Hague Conference, and if the Powers agree to adhere to Italy’s suggestion, it will mean a great step towards the reduction of armaments.
