BASE CALUMNY.
THE REPTILE’S HEAD CRUSHED.
(Received 4, 8.0 a.m.) Berlin, Feb. 3.
The “Lokal Anzleiger” states that King George’s action shows how sharply he felt the injury as a man and a father, and how little disposed he was to relinquish the right of a man and a citizen to combat such slanders in person. The Monarch as defender of his personal honour, with his Royal word, thereby most surely crushed the head of the reptile of calumny.
