Dr. Bevan, id a sermon - at Pitt Street Church, said the Church’s great danger was its formulas. its fine buildings, its splen did rubrics, and its grand organ ■>. It had become a dogmatic official institution, and had ceased to be the kingdom that Christ declared should be within us. Most of li e social conditions of to-day were those of force and property.
Referring to the continuance «>f. the Jewish people, the doctor declared: " You won't go to war tdl the Jew tells you you may ; you are dominated by a nationless, homeless people, the scatter d children of Israel.’’
