FIRE AT NAPIER.
A fire at about 11.30 last night ■gutted the premises of the Napier Plumbing Company, in Emerson street. The two buildings which comprise I lie shop were gutted, ami a large quantity of materials ami tools destroyed. Mr. Basil Fisker discovered the fire, and promptly gave the alarm, but by the time the brigade arrived the fire had a good hold. Luck . ily the Hames were confined to the one building, and in about ten mi- . mites they were effect ually subdued.
The premises were locked up by Mr. W. L. Yates at !0.30 p.m.. when everything was apparent!’, safe, and some dotd t exists as t;> whore the fire actually started. The damage is estimated al shout £.*?si>- £350 for tools and ■t .■! <; £2'" for buihiings.
