S ATISF A CTO R Y A(! REEMEN T. A eoiueierme was held at Napier yesterday afternoon, between tin wool store owners and the Store workers’ I’nion. The employers were represented by Messrs. J. \V. Williams. D. A. Baxter, and J. G. Herdman, whilst the union’s representatives were Messrs. S. Lewis, ('. Doughty, and C. Gavan. Mr. S. E. W right, seen tary of the Em plovers’ Association, and Mr. W. McCarthy, secretary of the Storeworkers' Union. were also present. A satisfactory agreement on al:
points was arrived at as regard?-; the conditions of work in wool; stores, the following being the de-1 tails of the agreement. Forty-four hours per week, be I ween x a.m. and 5 p.m. daily, and, till noon on Saturday. . Overtime to be paid for at the ; rate of time and a quarter for the; first three hours, and time and a' half afterwards. Wages for permanent wool workers to be £2 7 6 per week; casuals 1 11 per hour.
