HAWKE’S BAY FRUITGROWERS* ASSOCIATION.

A general meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Asso ciation was held in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Hastings, on Saturday afternoon, Mr. F. Cook presiding over an attendance of twenty members.

W. A. Boucher. Department o! Agriculture, forwarded informatioi with regard to frost control, and r. specimen fire-pot similar to that used in California. Mr. Boucher expressed the opinion that in ordei to derive the best results in the way of prevention of injury by frost, more shelter belts will rej quire to be planted in Hawke’s * Bay. Systematic experiments for I frost control would be carried out { at the Arataki Experimental Farm | shortly. Received. This was all the business.
