HARBOUR SHED ACCOMMODATION.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —After complaints from the Chamber of Commerce and others, the Harbour Board are shamed into building more shed room at the Breakwater, but they are only putting up a lean-to which will only hold about 120 tons of cargo at the outside, whereas they want a shed capable of holding 1000 tons of i cargo. It is to be hoped that some j real live member of the Board will I bring this matter up at Tuesday’s j meeting of the Board, and insist on j proper additions being made. Now that the work is being taken in hand, and if they build proper additions now. it will meet the requirements of the port for the next five years. By then we will be in a position to know if it is to be breakwater or inner harbour.—l am, etc., “PROGRESS.” Napier, Jan. 16, 1911. ;
