AUCKLAND WOOL SALES.
COMPETITION NOT KEEN. [PER press ASSOCIATION. ; Auckland. Jan. 11. The second wool sales oi the season took place to-day. Seven thousand three hundred bales were offered. The quality is not quite up to that at the first sale, and in sympathy with the sales in the South, prices show a drop of from jd to rd per pound. The competition was not very keen and a large proportion of the wool was passed in, most likely for shipment direct.
