£ HANDSOME SUBSIDY PAID
(Received 9, 8.45 a.m.) London, Jan. 8.
The British Government has contracted with the Royal Mail Steampacket Company for a fortnightly service to the West Indies.
The amount/ is £63.000, whereof] Trinidad contributes £20,000. The British subsidy is in addition to the existing contract of £25,000.
