MILITARY VACANCIES.

Wellington, Jan. 5.

The three vacancies caused by the non-acceptance of positions of adjutants under the new Defence Scheme by Captains Roache, and ■Blair, and Lieut. Oouper have been filled by the selection of Captain King (Nelson), Lieut. Robinson (Petone), and Lieut. Gibby (Auckland). Sergt.-Major Lambert (.Wellington), and Sergt. Walker (Millerton) have been selected to fill the vacancies as non-commissioned officers.
