XAPIER CLUB. Yesterday there was a large attendance on the Xapier Club’s greens and several Wednesday tournament matches were disposed of, also ordinary games and club pairs and drawing games which the members are anxious to get off be fore the holidays. * Wednesday Rinks. McKay. Burt, Williams. Ruston, 23; Riddell. McGlashan. Wrightson, Thorp, 20. Tate, Penrose. Smith. Simin. 21 ; Martin. Cottrill, Bennett. Chadwick, 13. An invitation has been received from the Hastings Bowling Club for four rinks from the NapimBowling Club to go out to the former club’s ‘green on Wednesday next for a friendly match. Members of the Napier club wishing to avail themselves of the invitation are requested to put their names on the club’s board in the pavilion. The Xapier club have decided that as Saturday last was wet the B section, which were to hate play-e-i op that day, will now play on Saturday next.
