SCHOOL~COMMITTEE. i (From Our Own Correspondent.) i The Meanee School Committee , met last evening, when Messrs. Ericksen (chairman), Dawe, Harris, Parsons, Rymer, ana' Wakely were
present. * - The master reported the roll > number as being 53, and the aver-: age attendance for the past month i as 46. The question of enlarging the • area of the school gardens was held ■ over till next meeting. It was decided to close the school ! for Friday, 16th inst., on account ofthe synchronous examination. i One small account was passed for payment and final arrangements! were made for distributing the, prizes. on the 20th inst.. and holding the picnic on the 21 st inst.
