ANN UAL ENTERTAINMENT. In spite of the inclement weather a large and appreciative audience assembled to witness the annual entertainment of the punils of the Napier Marist Brothers v h<The programme was a ’ aried und interesting one, comprising vocal and instrumental solos and choruses, recitations, dumb-bell drill and Indi’an club swinging, and a one act farce. Master Barry’s singing was mum appreciated, and he responded tv twe encores. The recitations by’ several of the boys were given w’ith gusto and expression, particularly’ “Mulga Bill’s Bicycle Ride,” given by Mas-; ter A. Halpin. ! Two tiny performers delighted everyone with “Welcome Holi-' days.” “A Boy’s Opionion of Babies” was a very amusing item given by A. McGrath. Tableau,; “Let Erin Remember.” and a Farce, Doctor Diaculum,” concluded the entertainment. The whole entertainment reflects great credit on those w’ho trained the children. Miss McGrath w’as an excellent accompaniste.
