VOLUNTEER MEETING.—ELECTION OF MAJOR GREEN AS CAPTAIN.

Last evening, pursuant to advertisement,, a meeting of the Napier Rifle Volunteers was held in the Masonic Hall for the election of captain and other business. There were two candidates for the captaincy—> Major E. L. Green and Ensign H. E. Webb. The voting was by ballot, and resulted in the return of Major Green by a majority of one. The company have also* we hear, decided that the color of their new uniform shall be green.
