AUCKLAND. LIVE STOCK MARKET. —WhKK exdisg May 7. J\lr. Buckland's Report. At the Ilaymarkct, on Saturday last, there was a fair supply of horse stock, about fifty head, many of them of good quality ; but the prices ollered were so low, that seventeen head only were sold, the remainder were withdrawn. At the Triangle on Tuesday, not much stock was penned ; cattle were lower in price, and the sheep were nearly all withdrawn, one pen only being sold, at 225. each. At Newmarket, on Thursday, there was a numerous attendance, and a full market of stockdairy cows alone cseeplcd. There were none of good quality ollered, and (here were many enquiries for them. The cargo of the Juno, from Newcastle, seventy-four head, were in very good condition, and free from bruises; they brought from £6 15s. to £l3 10s., averaging £8 each. Several pens of provinoial-brod cattle were disposed of at lower rates than have lately ruled. Fat cattle were abundant, and sold at very low rates, a fewchoice fatted animals excepted. There were several enquiries for working oxen. The sheep, ex Hart, from Sydney, brought 12s. Gd. each. Wanganui wethers, from 28s, to SSs., and N apier wethers, fatted in this Province, 2Gs. to 28s. each The pigs were well-bred and well-fatted, but principally sows. They brought trom 455. to 655. each. IGI head of cattle, SGB sheep, and 49 pigs were sold.
