AUCKLAND. LITE STOCK MARKET.— Week ending Apeil 9. Messrs. Stuak <t- Hunter's Report Horses. —The show of horses was considerable. The light harness from Ilobnrt Town realised satisfactory prices. Several heavy draughts were disposed of at prices ranging from £35 to £7O. Hacks, £7 to £ls.

Pat Cattle. —The supply was very large owing to heavy importations. The Bullocks ex ‘ Derwent Hunter,’ were very good, and sold at £ls. Those per ‘ Aleeta,’ consisting of fat and stores, fetched an average of £ll. The prices at Newmarket realised, for bullocks £ll 10s. to £23. Cows, £ls to £l6 15s. Fat sheep. —The supply of really fat sheep was not large, nor were there any of first-rate quality ; prices, 30s. to 34 s. ■ Dairy ani store Cattle were scarce. Milch cows fetched £l6 to £lB 2s «d ; store cows, £8 to £ll 2s fid ; bullocks, £8 5s to £ll 10s ; young heifers and steers, £3 to £4 15s. Store Sheep. —There was a fair supply, but the quality being indifferent, high prices could not be obtained. Those per ‘Aleeta’ sold at from 14s. to 15s fid. Pigs. —Sold at from 28s 6d to £2. PROVISION MARKETS. Potatoes (new), per ton, £8 to £10: per cwt, 10s. Beef, per lb, 7d to 8d ; mutton, Bd. Pork 9d. Bread, per 21b loaf, Bd. ’ THE MILLSI Wuolesai/e,-—Fine flour (silk dressed), per ton £3O ; 2nds, £26 ; sharps, £ls. Wheat per bushel, Adelaide, 10s. fid. Bran, 2s 3d. Retail. —Fine flour, per kOOlbs, 32s ; 2nds, 28s ; sharps, 17s. Bran, per bushel, 2s fid. BUILDING MATERIALS. Timber. — Boards and scantling, per 100 ft. £1 ; boards, tongued and grooved, 23s to 25s ; shingles’ per 1,000 £1 2s ; pailings, per 100, 16s. ° Posts and Rails, per 100, £ 1 10s, Bricks, per 1,000, £4 45., delivered. Lime, per bushel. Is. 4d to Is 6d.
