AUCKLAND. LIVE STOCK MARKET.—Wekk ending Apkil 9. Messrs. St yah & Hunter's Report, Horses—Tim week again our yards were crowded, with horses, chiefly from Melbourne and Dunedin. They were generally very fine animals, several fetching over £100; one was sold for £lO5. 8-1 of this class were disposed of during the week at figures such as £54, £6O, £72, £BO, and £95 There are symptoms of a decline, however, in the prices' and the demand does not continue so brisk. Light horses are not in much request. Rat Cattle. —There was a fair supply, and prices were good. We quote buUocks at £l6 6s. to £17125. 6d. Cows £l2 10s. to £ls 17s. 6d. Fat Sheep.— There were none really fat in the marked. A few sold at 225. 64. Dairy and Store •Cattle were vere very scarce. Milch cows sold at £l2 2s. 6d. to £l4los. Stores, £9 to £9 10s. A lot of calves sold at £3 6s. Store Sheep.— One large lot sold at 20s. Pigs. —None in the market. PROVISION MARKET. Bread, per 21h loaf, Bd. Retail. —Fine flour, per lOOlbs. 325.; seconds, 28s; sharps, 17s. Bran, per bushels, 25..6d. BUILDING MATERIALS. Timber.— Boards and scantling, per 100 ft. 205., boards, tongued and grooved, 20s. to 235.; shingles, per 1,000, £1 25,; palings, per 100,165. Posts and Rails, per 100, £llos.
