[own correspondent.] A very successful bazaar in aid of the Elsthorpc Public Hall Fund was held in Mr Buchanan’s woolshed on Wednesday afternoon, and evening. The place was very tastefully decorated for t lie occasion. Very few people put in an appearance during the afternoon, but tho evening brought with it an eager throng of purchasers, who showed they had realised good prices for jhoir wool at the recent sales. The .dhihjrcn reveled ’in the doled able contents of the bran tub, while such attractions as a hat-trimming competition for gentlemen, and a naildriving competition for ladies caused much amusement. Ail The ladies worked hard, and are to Ik* congratulated on their organising ability in bringing tin* venture to such a successful issue. Mr Buchanan is thank* cd for his kindness in placing his woolshod at the disposal of the ladies.
