It is • evident . that- the number of . entries for tlie Spring Show will be in advance of the totals for former years. Already, too, the hotel accommodation is almost fully booked. The Hastings Town Braid will give an open-air performance on Saturday evening. A shooting match is to be held by the Hawke’s Bay Mounted Rifles today (Wednesday) and on Saturday. Sir Joseph Ward is expected to visit Hastings next week. The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s new total isator has been placed in position at the racecourse.
