LOAN AND MERCANTILE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report having held their periodical sale at Waipukurau yesterday, when a large yarding of cattle was offered to more than the usual number of buyers. Three-year bullocks of good quality realised £5 15s, two-year to two and a half-year bullocks of good quality £4 10s to £4 15s, cows in calf in poor condition £3 17s 6d. HAWKE’S BAY FARMERS.* The Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Association, Limited, report as follows :~We held our fortnightly stock sale at Waipukurau yesterday. We cleared our yarding at the following pricesßutchers’ ewes 17s 9d, cull hoggets 10s Id. Fat heifers £4 11s, cows in calf from £3 2s 6d to £5, cows with calves £3 18s, 12 to 16month steers and heifers £3 to £3 15s.
WILLIAMS AND KETTLE. Williams and Kettle, Limited, report of their periodical stock sale at Waipukurau yesterday ;—A yarding of all stock, fully up to advertised numbers, came forward, and was offered to a large attendance of buyers and others interested. Beef: Medium-weight fat bullocks £7 10s to £7 15s, only a small quantity being yarded, a small pen of fat cows of light weight £5 15s, three year steers £5 7s, three year bull steers £4 Bs, two year steers £4 to £4 7s 6d, 18 months steers £3, 18 months heifers £2 13s, two year heifers £4 7s 6d, yearling steers and heifers £2 8s 6d, weaner steers and heifers of inferior quality 20s and 23s sd, cows in calf £3 10s up to £4 10s. Sheep: Five pens of prime fat wethers from Mangatarata Station realised 235, fat ewes 16s 9d, mixed sex hoggets 12s lOd.
WEXLEY AXD LANAUZE. Messrs Wcnley and Lanauze report on their Waipukurau sale yesterday:—To a large attendance wo offered several pens of cattle. Store cattle were dull on Bide, tho yards being fully taxed, which, no doubt, cased off late values. Three-year-old steers £4 10s, rising two year steers £5 10s, 15 months £3, weanors £2. JOHNSOXVILLE MARKET. Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Johnsonville sale yesterday as follows: —A full entry of bullocks of prime qualities sold at up to 23s per 1001b, a few pons of small selling at 245. Best bullocks £lO 10s, others £9 10s to £lO and £8 15s to £9 6d. A good yarding of sheep, ranging from medium quality to prime, sold freely. Best wethers 24s lid, 24s 6d. others 22s to 24s 2d, ewes 17s Bd to 20s, maiden ewes 21s 6d.
