DR DOWIE.
(Received September 21, 1.20 a.m.) LONDON, September 20. Dr. Dowie has described himself as the divinely-commissioned high priest on earth and first apostle of the Chris tian Catholic churches, witli power to appoint other apostles, hear confessions and forgive sins. When making this announcement he wore a richly-jewelled mitre, described as of a pattern givenby God to Moses. Dr. Dowie added that he wished to make Zion City the Mecca of the Christian world.
