Mutton, fine 28s 6d, medium 26s 6d; beef, fine 28s 6d, medium 25s 6d. MELBOURNE, Thursday. The tallow market is depressed, and prices nominal and unchanged.

HIDES. MELBOURNE, Thursday. Hides are in good demand. Stout 6d to 7£d, heavy to s£d; average and medium 4|d to 4|d. FROZEN MEAT. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company, Limited, yesterday received the following cablegram from their London office: “Frozen meat market.—To-day’s quotations are: Canterbury mutton, 4|d per lb; Napier, Wellington, and North Island mutton, 4gd; lamb, first quality, lamb, second quality, sd; beef, hindquarters, 3d; beef, forequarters, 2£d.”
