Hawea arrived yesterday afternoon from Lyttelton. She loaded about 3000 sheep and left for Lyttelton. Thence she proceeds to Itluft’. where she loads on the Utli. Oamaru 12th, and Timaru mi the 14th, arriving here on the 16th. The Cnion Company’s s.s. Taieri is due on Thursday to load sheep for Lyttelton. The s.s. Tangaroa had to refuse cargo yesterday, as so much was offering for the Wairoa district. She was to leave at 5 o’clock this morning. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s lonic is due here about the 15th instant to load for London. Mr A. W. Cargill, the local r.u linger of the Cnion Company, is doing very well at the Hospital. Mr Nantes is acting manager, and Mr I>. Aplin is due to-day from Wellington to a*«Lt. The s.s. Weka loaded yesterday for Gisborne. and the Ahurlri for Waiknre and Mohuka.
