ANGLICAN GENERAL SYNOD

[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, Thursday. The Anglican General Synod yesterday passed a resolution stating the desirability of all funds available for the supervision and maintenance of the Maori Mission being placed under the control of the Synod. The Bishop of Christchurch’s bill to set up a Maori Mission Board was read a third time and passed. The following have been appointed members of the Maori Mission Board: —Auckland, Rev. W. Beatty and Mr A. Roberton; Waiapu, Archdeacon Williams and Mr J. B. Fielder; Wellington, Rev. C. C. Harper and Mr K. Wilson; Nelson, Rev. J. P. Kempthorne and Mr W. Speight; Christchurch, Archdeacon Harper and Mr Andrews; Dunedin, Dean Fitchett and Mr Churton.
