Sir,—Parents ate glad to read in the papers that intelligent men are finding out what we have known all along—the cruelty and absurdity of some of the questions put on examination papers where self-taught Inspectors men raised from the ranks, have thought more of showing off their own learning than of adding to that of onr children.
