[rasas AssociATiror.] HAMILTON Friday. William Brook, aged 50, a labourer, bought a piece of meat at a butcher's shop at Ohanpa yesterday, and immediately began eating it in tbe road. He choked himself, and died in spite of efforts to relieve him. The coroner's jury retnmed a verdict of death from asphyxia. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. The inquest on Heaton Rhodes Parkinson was resumed this afternoon. The jury returned a verdict that the deceased died on January 13th from the effects of a dose of irritant poison, namely, perchloride of mercury, intentionally self-administered on January 4th, at Ashley Bridge, and that no blame or suspicion was attachable to anybody.
