PASSENGERS CARRIED ON.

[press association.] AUCKLAND, Monday. Forty-eight passengers booked for Gisborne were carried on here by the Zealandia owing to the stormy weather. They complain of much inconvenience, some being without money. It appears that under a new rule the company do not board passengers ashore in such a case, merely holding the responsibility of returning them by the first steamer.

Captain Wylie states that those who desired could stay on the Zealandia or Westralia until they were returned to Gisborne by the latter vessel.
